Nearing 40 Games into the Season, Let's check on our Dust-Devils

Pasco, Wa, May 25th—] The long 132-game season is slightly more than 1/4 of the way done, and your Dust Devils sit at 18-19 and 3.5 games out of 1st place and in 5th place in the MiLB Northwest League.

Despite the sub- .500 record at this point in the season, the Dust Devils have plenty to be proud of thus far- record attendance at home since 2019, a +22 run differential, and the least Runs Allowed in the NW League at 128, All while being led by prospects, you should get to know before they get the call up to AA.

The charge in Tri-Cities is not only being led by fantastic stadium announcer Eric, the Peanut guy, but also by 1B Gabe Matthews, OF Mike Peabody, and the organization's #6 prospect, CF Jordyn Adams.

Mathews and Peabody are off the great starts thus far, posting an OPS(Onbase%+Slugging%) of .740+, which an average MLB/MiLB player will post about a .700. Adams is off to a strong start getting on base with 30 hits(2nd most) and then moving around once on base with 9 Stolen Bases(SB).

Don't forget about our two starters, who posted a sub 1.50ERA through their first 6+ starts and 30IP. Adam Seminaris and Braden Olthoff are neither top 30 prospects for the organization. Seminaris, as of today, carries a 1.17ERA, and Olthoff carries a 1.38ERA. Both have 35+ strikeouts and less than eight free passes (walks) given up to the opposition.

The weather in the Tri-Cities, the Dust Devils, isn't always beautiful, it frequently is windy and rainy, and the forecast changes more than expected. Such is the case for the organization's #3 prospect, SS/2B Kyren Paris, and #14 Prospect RHP Landon Marceaux. Paris has had a rough go at the plate posting a .178 batting average and 49 strikeouts through 28 games and 101 at-bats(AB) while leading the team in SB with 11. Marceaux has struggled to a 6.16ERA through 19IP while allowing an opponent .273BA.

Anything can still happen in the Tri-Cities and the NW, and warmer weather is coming with roughly 2/3 of the season left to play. School being out for the summer, GESA stadium should be on all the Tri-Cities list to watch their local Dust-Devils win this summer.
